The Vikings are back for JumpCross

JumpCross crosses the UK border to go to Scandinavia

Now JumpCross has found its way to Scandinavia to an old family farm, Ulbaekgaard, which has been owned by the same family since 1648. Today the farm is owned by Mette and Finn Ulbaek, the 9th generation on the farm. It is situated in the beautiful south-east Jutland with its rolling hills and blue fords. Ulbaekgaard's fields are very well suited for JumpCross + forklaring Kom lige med noget.

Finn Ulbaek says, "For a very long time we had been looking for a new equestrian discipline where it would be possible in a safe way to combine the advantages of many of the other disciplines. It was my sister, who lives in England , who made me aware of JumpCross.

I contacted Robin Dunlop of JumpCross and had a very interesting conversation with him about the possibilities of JumpCross in Scandinavia . Robin and Catherine paid us a visit in the autumn of 2004 to see our farm. We had a very successful meeting and it was wonderful to meet two people who were both extremely professional but at the same time possessed a very good sense of humour. In the spring of 2005 I visited Grange Farm. I was impressed by a vivid and committed organisation that devotes itself to JumpCross, heart and soul.

The outcome of the visit was that in September we were visited by Robin, Pete and Ian. During this visit the final layout of the JumpCross course was made.

Now we only have to wait for spring to arrive so that we can get started with JumpCross and we are not in any doubt that this new discipline will have great possibilities of becoming very popular in Scandinavia."
